About

The Church of the Nazarene has been in Lebanon since the 1950s. Originally located in a storefront downtown, then in a small church building on the corner of Jefferson Ave. and 4th St., we now have a beautiful facility next to Atchley Park on Route 5 which includes a large sanctuary, Sunday school classrooms, a fellowship hall and large gym and we’ve just added a large pavilion for cook outs and picnics on the grounds. Take a look at where we’ve come from and where we are now:

If you’ve been considering finding a church to make your own, this would be a great time to try us out as we are an old church making a new start. It’s your opportunity to be a part of something great and see what God is going to do!

Even though we’re a small church now, we still have much to offer as we grow. While we don’t have many programs (being small), we do offer a friendly welcome, genuine fellowship and a meaningful worship experience in an inter-generational setting.

Our worship services include traditional hymns and choruses (accompanied by a multi-piece worship ensemble), prayer, testimonies and a message from the Bible.

When you visit, you’ll experience a warm welcome and an opportunity to participate as much -or as little- as you’d like. We’re not real formal, so dress comfortably. You many see a couple of men in suits and ties and a few women in skirts or dresses, but you’ll fit right in wearing a pair of jeans.

Before going on to read about our Mission and Core Values, take a look “Behind the Doors”:

.

Mission

Simply stated, our mission is: Christlike Discipleship.

This means as individuals, we seek to be followers of Jesus Christ, living as he instructed us to live. But beyond our own lives, we believe Christlike Discipleship should motivate us to seek out others who need to hear the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and help them come to know and follow Him.

.

Vision

-Ministry to the vulnerable: seeking the greatest impact among the most needy; Senior Citizens, Children, Youth, and those in devastating circumstances.

-Systematically educating people to be Disciples of Christ.

-Multiple worship services, Sunday School hours, and Disciple Makers.
